The Roots & Soul Foundation and City of Oakland will sponsor the Inaugural “Soul of the Town” futsal tournament and soccer clinics at various Town Nights sites, in collaboration with local non-profits, Roots Purpose Partners, OGSC, My Yute Soccer, Street Soccer USA, and Soccer Without Borders and AYSO.

A “mini” city-wide futsal tournament for youth ages 14-18 taking place at 4 Town Nights sites/nights (one mini-tournament per night for 4 consecutive Fridays) in summer 2024 with winning teams and their families winning the opportunity for a Roots home game experience (details TBD).

Additionally, with support from AYSO and other soccer related organizations, youth clinics will take place at each site for youth who are not able to or no interested in playing in the competitive tournament.
